Porsche Racing

Seth Neimann, team owner of Flying Lizard Motorsports, says that his two 911 GT3 RSR's will be back in 2011. They had an excellent year with Joerg Bergmeister and Patrick Long at the wheels. And because of their success, Flying Lizard Motorsports will have a Porsche-powered Riley Daytona Prototype at the Rolex 24 at the end of January at Daytona.

Timo Bernhard was congratulated for winning the German race driver of the year while behind the wheel of Porsche. He is the first person to win four major long distance classics.

Richard Lietz won the Austria race driver of the year award for his outstanding performance. Winning the GT2 class of the Le Mans Series helped get Lietz the famous title and bragging rights.

Gian Luca Roda was recently awarded the Italian GT3 Championship for 2010 while with Autorlando-Sport patting him on the back.

Porsche Carrera World Cup on June 25, 2011 on the Nurburgring-Nordschleife will host 200 Porsche GT3 Cup right before the famous 24 hr race. They will have only 6 laps to try to be the best.

The twelve rounds of the 2010 Carrera Cup Asia just finished this month and defending his title was none other than Christian Menzel with a 911 GT3 Cup from the StarChase team.

Alessandro Balzan was crowned for the Carrera Cup Italia with a win and a fourth place finish in Monza to steal the points lead from Christian Passuti. Balzan overtook the seasons leader in the end by only 4 points.
