Pontiac is Officially Done

The Pontiac Motor Division was born at G.M. in 1926 as a single model under the Oakland brand, but its true roots came from horse buggies in the late 1800's. The last Pontiac was sold to Ed Dieffenbach, a retired police officer from the Miami Florida area at a dealership in the Panhandle of Florida. He traded his Silverado in for at new Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe, which took him 1,100 miles round trip to get. When he pulled up to his residence, Mrs. Dieffenbach had just said "WOW."

Too bad the GTO which was the Pontiac's leading muscle car back in the day will no longer be available. So if you have an older GTO, HOLD ON TO IT! I expect the value to increase as the years go by.

Thank you Pontiac for all that you have done for this industry.
